Communications Contacts
Each school has a designated contact person to help disseminate positive information about school activities to the news media.  See "2006-07 Communications Contacts" in the Resources section for a list of these persons. 
SEAGUL Teachers
SEAGUL is a differentiated program for intellectually gifted students in grades two through eight. SEAGUL promotes the development of gifted students by addressing their specific needs. One day each week, these students come together for instruction in skills not covered in the regular classroom. Click on your child's SEAGUL teacher's name to view SEAGUL class pages.
Special Services
The Office of Special Services promotes special education and related services to Kershaw County student with disabilities in compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).  This office supervises Child Find activities (community and school-based), educational evaluation, special education and related services, Medicaid reimbursement and school health services.
Teacher Forum
The purpose of the Kershaw County Teacher Forum is to give recognition to school teachers of the year, to develop teacher leadership among this outstanding group, to give the teachers a voice in educational issues that face teachers today at all levels, and to impact the professional development of other teachers by encouraging its members to facilitate the development of leadership skills among their peers.
